This was Corbin's first time at the beach. On a whim, we decided to take Corbin down to the beach one Saturday. He had such a good time! He was scared of the ocean at first, but then seemed to really enjoy it. It was still early in the season, so the water was rather cold. He loved, loved, loved the sand and did not seem to mind putting his sandy toys in his mouth (yuck!).
We bought an umbrella so that we could make sure that he stayed out of the sun. That was quite a difficult task getting it set up, but we were finally able to do it. We had a great time just playing in the sand together.
We went to Seaside Heights, which was the first beach that George and I went to together. In fact, that is the place that George first told me that he loved me (he wrote it in the sand). We had dinner together at the restaurant that we ate at the night the he told me that he loved me. It was really neat being back there with our son eight years later...
After dinner, George and I played Skee Ball and Air Hockey (our favorites!). We couldn't leave the beach without having some ice cream from Kohr's Brothers! It will be great when Corbin can have our favorite beach treat with us....
In July, we went to Lancaster to visit the Aldrich's. We had a great time at their house. We went swimming and played Wii together (George brought his Wii with him). They all had a blast playing with the baby and we had a yummy dinner with them. We had a wonderful time with them!
